Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co., Ltd. (SH: 603160) today announced that it is filing a complaint with Beijing Intellectual Property Court, alleging that Egis Technology Inc. (Egis) has infringed upon the important Goodix patent that covers key technologies essential to important features and functions of Goodix’s optical IN-DISPLAY FINGERPRINT SENSOR™. Goodix requests the court to stop Egis’ unlawful and unfair use of Goodix’s technology, and urges Egis to compensate Goodix’s loss in the amount of ¥50.5 million, while also bearing other legal liabilities arising from the infringement.
